Toddler Room
(6 weeks to 3 years)

Ms. Loretta is our Head Teacher in the toddler room.  Ms. Loretta started at Honey Tree in 1993 after working for Laidlaw Transit for 16 years transporting children with special needs.  Ms. Loretta has her CDA and continues to learn and expand her talents daily.  Ms. Loretta continues to expand the curriculum and learning concepts in our daily routine.  She is such a wonderful, spirited educator.  She believes that every child has infinite potential and cultivates that in child-centered play as well as teacher directed interaction.
 

Ms. Jessica prides her self on consistency and fairness.  She believes that children,if given the chance, can learn something new every day.  She works with Loretta to maitain the daily schedule, and incorprate a weekly/bi-weekly theme of learning into our 2 year old classroom.



Ms. Samantha, who works with our younger toddlers, has a natural zest for life and learning.  Ms. Samantha studied early childhood development at Masuk and is planning on attending Housatonic.  She hopes to pursue a career that helps shape the future for our young people. She loves being a part of the ever changing lives of these intricate members our family.  She has additional training in CPR/First Aid, Allergy and Asthma, medication administration and more...



Ms. Rhonda, a mom too, works with us part time in the Young Toddler room.  She has an amazing smile and the children adore her.  She works with our early learners every day.  Her strengths are her upbeat personality and attention to detail along with her knowlege of child development. 



Ms. Judy comes to us from Results for Women where she was in charge of the childcare program.  Her experience is abundant and her positive attitude contagious!  She works with our infant and youngest toddlers.  She encourages age appropriate self help skills and the children in her care just love the attention and love they get from her.




Ms. Jenna works with us in all of our classrooms as a teacher's assistant.  She is also attending Housatonic Community College and aspires toa become a nurse.  Ms. Jennah loves children of all ages.  She loves to watch an idea come together and helps the children develop their problem solving skills daily!

Preschool
(3 years old)

Ms. Missy obtained her Associates Degree Early Childhood Education at Housatonic Community College.  She is also Head Teacher certified in the State of CT.   Ms. Missy feels it is important to teach the children developmentally appropriate lesson,s giving each child their own spotlight in which to shine.

PreKindergarten
(4 and 5 year olds)

Ms. Jane has been here at Honey Tree since 1994.  Ms. Jane has her CDA and is Head Teacher certified in the state of CT.  She continues to learn and discover new teaching techniques all of the time and loves to try new experiments in science with the children.  Ms. Jane is often inventing new playdoh recipes... like chocolate!  Every day is a new adventure for the children.

Afterschool Program
(2nd - 6th Grade)

Ms. Kelly is the reading teacher at Stepney Elementary School here in Monroe.  She has been the reading teacher there since 1997.  At Honey Tree she helps children with homework and makes afterschool "fun".  Her energy and ecperience are such a great addition to our team.   Her classroom is complete with games and movies on Friday too!
